Yesterday, we sat in a (half-)hour-long meeting for two hours and set up a "Fe gets to eat" plan, "Fe can be a little late so she has time to get stuff out of her locker" plan, and "Fe gets help organizing her school life materials so she has what she needs when she gets home" plan. (also known as "mom's too tired to find the right terms so f- it plans").
The Psych "listened" and then asked to call Fe in so she could have input.
They were going to ask her if she was willing to
Then they called her in, told her about the adaptations that are going to go into effect, and then basically steam-rolled her into agreeing to change teams (after psych agreed she could catch the bus and made sure she knows which bus to take) if she could be sure to pet the snake from her current science teacher's class some days. After Fe had a giant burst of word-diarrhea where she could barely stop long enough to inhale. Agreed to the changes and then found anything. else. she could see to discuss nonsensically.
I asked if she could go home with us because there were only 10 minutes left in the day and she's going to start missing the last ten or fifteen minutes of class anyway us (it was good logic). Got the kiddo in the van and she chattered a bunch before her voice broke and she couldn't hold it anymore. She does NOT want to switch teams. She is NOT okay with the "deals" she made and NO! And then she started sobbing quietly. [While MommyM gave me a "told you so" look]. In the end, the psych was called (twice), and Fe is still on the same team with only two classes being switched. And was not stressed by the thought of going to school today.
