When your "adorable" "sweet" almost-six year old bullies...?
...an adult?
...because they're unable to stand?
...because they're nicer and more patient?
Because I'm about to just ground her to her room until she turns 21.
Whenever she is alone with MommyM, who uses a wheelchair, she turns into raging-psycho-demon. She stands up high and throws hard objects, then, when "the victim" raises an arm to deflect, she says something in the line of "oh look, you're scaaarred. You have to duck 'cause you're scared. You're such a scaredy cat!" threatens to throw something so that M prepares to deflect/catch it (and, if possible, thwack her with it) "HAHAHA look, you're ducking again, SCAREDY CAT!!!"
So, what do you do to end this before it gets out of control???

no good advice mamas..just sending hugs
ReplyDeletesucks that teaching/loving/showing all the good things is so damn hard. You are both amazing parents, don't forget that..don't make me start singing "The Sun'll Come Out Tomorrow" from Annie..nobody wants that ;)
Does Mommy M have an exaggerated startle reflex? I do, due to spasticity and it occasionally has led to bullying. Perhaps showcasing Mommy M's strength competence in a particular area might help?
