And she didn't get to go home. UncleT has Fe, who is enjoying playing video games and eating junk food and having less structure. UncleT is also starting to get things more organized so we can move.
Sunshine is sick. Sick enough to be hospitalized for IV antibiotics.
She had her PICC line put in at 8:30 this morning, we learned that she has seriously messed up veins in her right arm, and it's going to town, branching out every which way, making so that her PICC can't "centralize" (or go all the way to her heart). She's going to have the PICC line for (at least) TWO WEEKS.
Everyone keeps saying "it's nothing we did" and they're "really impressed because she hasn't been hospitalized in the three years we've had her" and "we obviously provide the best for her because of how healthy she has been and how much she's grown". It all feels so effing fatalistic to my ears. Like we've crested the top of a really crappy roller coaster and it's all downhill-really-fast-til-we-hit-the-end from here.
It's a three hour drive one way, so there really isn't room for daily balance. We think we'll spend the weekend back home with Fe, so she knows we haven't abandoned her, then come back on Sunday afternoon.
Tuesday morning, we go sign our new lease. We intend to start moving to our new place on Saturday.
