Trichotillomania

Sigh. MommyM is in a "care center" bse she had to have emergency surgery last week bse. her stomach was trying to "heal" itself completely closed. That wasn't stressful. Not at all. blegh.
She was in the hospital until Fri. night when they moved her into "an acute care facility" bse. no one would listen to anyone and just move her into a recovery center (we have to install a lift in the house so she doesn't have to do as many wheelchair transfers bse it's tearing her skin and becoming rather dangerous.)
Sunshine is freaking out and has managed to do this to her head over the past 6 days. Child is upset about her sister constantly telling her to stop and asked to see what she's done this morning.

I don't know what to do to help her. no amount of fidgets or wool gloves or getting in trouble helps. bringing her attention to it just upsets her and sometimes aggravates the situation.
The constant picking has also caused a form of "cradle cap" that we need to figure out how to get rid of.
