Holy Cow Crabby Pants

In an effort to spend time with both girls, Sunshine has a 1:1 volunteer Monday-Friday (except tomorrow), so moms can safely leave. Also, we had appointments we could not move or cancel, four days of this week.We got to go visit her after the appt. yesterday and she was having fun, in a good mood with everyone else, but CRABBY to us adults.
She and Fe played in the playroom (she's a "red apple" this time, instead of "green" like last time, so she gets to leave the confines of her hospital room to do non-medical things (like play with other patients in the playroom, take walks and visit the cafeteria)!!!), played video games, shared snack, and colored on the windows!
Any time moms said anything, she smarted off, yelled at us, or was otherwise just MEAN.
The important thing is her PFTs are up (like 10% up!!!) and shes doing her meds right most of the time, and she is improving. (it's hard to explain to everyone, including her sister, that she may never be where she was before she went in the hospital last time, that her "baseline" may be lower, that she will never get "well" or "better", that she is always "sick" in varying degrees).
Tomorrow we will all go see her again and she's expecting it which might help with the moodiness because yesterday was a surprise. We don't think Sunshine like the unexpected from Moms so much.

CF SUCKS.

She may (probably) be out of the hosp. just before school starts and in time for her appts we have scheduled at the end of next week and back to school night.
